In a neighbourhood grocery the till has a queue, an item has no price on it, cheese is being weighed at the counter and a customer’s tab is going into a notebook, all at once. Expired goods come off the shelf late, and the order for the wholesaler is put together by eye. In the system we build the till rings up sales in seconds from barcodes and scale labels, and tabs are posted to the customer card. When stock hits a critical level a supplier-by-supplier order list is prepared, items nearing expiry are flagged early, and locals can place orders over WhatsApp.

Problems we see in grocery stores
- Lost tab notebooks and forgotten debts
- Expired products left on the shelf
- Wholesaler orders placed by guesswork
- Cash differences at closing that nobody can explain

How it works day to day
- 1
Morning deliveries go into stock against the purchase invoice.
- 2
At the till, items are scanned by barcode or scale label.
- 3
A customer buying on tab has the amount posted to their card.
- 4
In the evening the wholesaler order is drawn up from the stock alerts.
- 5
The end-of-day cash report is run and any difference is checked line by line.

Integrations
Off-the-shelf software or custom-built?
When off-the-shelf is enough
For a single-till grocer with few customer tabs, off-the-shelf grocery POS software is usually enough.
When custom software pays off
For stores with several branches, local delivery or a wish to automate wholesaler ordering, a custom system reduces waste and the cash tied up in stock.
How the budget is built
We launch the workflow that saves you the most time first, then add modules based on real usage. The full scope below is calculated with 18 screens and 10 modules; the final price follows a free discovery call and a written scope.
Maintenance and improvements (optional): €450 / month. Hosting, SMS, WhatsApp and app store fees are listed separately.
Frequently asked questions
Will it work with our cash register?
Sales data is shared with modern fiscal registers that offer an integration; we check your model during discovery.
Does the till stop when the internet goes down?
No. The till keeps selling offline and sends the records to head office once the connection returns.
Can we move our old tab notebook into the system?
Customer names and balances are entered in one go or imported from Excel.
Can staff permissions be separated?
Yes. Role-based limits are set, for example a cashier who cannot give discounts or change prices.
