From the moment a damaged car comes in until it is handed back, there is constant back and forth between the insurer, the adjuster, the parts supplier and the owner. While the car waits for adjuster approval it takes up space, photos get lost on phones, and the claim payment can go unchased for months. In the system we build every vehicle is opened as a claim file; intake photos, the adjuster’s report, the approved parts list and labour sit in one place. Repair stages are updated from the workshop on a tablet, the customer follows progress through a link, and the insurer’s payment is tracked against its due date.

Off-the-shelf software or custom-built?

When off-the-shelf is enough

For shops with little insurance work that are mostly cash-based, general garage software is usually enough.

When custom software pays off

For shops contracted with several insurers and handling dozens of claim files a month, a custom claim- and payment-focused system cuts waiting time and uncollected receivables.

The screen is just stage selection and taking photos, updated in a few taps.

How long are photos kept?

They stay in the archive after the file closes and can serve as evidence if a dispute arises.

Can existing customer and vehicle records be imported?

Yes. Registration, VIN and customer lists are imported from Excel.
