In roadside assistance the call comes in at midnight, the driver waits at the roadside and the nearest tow truck is found by phoning around. Assistance companies demand a job number, photos and mileage, and a missing report is enough for the payment to be held back. In the system we build the location is pinned on the map the moment a call is taken, the nearest suitable tow truck is suggested and the driver is notified. At pickup the driver collects photos and a signature in the app, the customer follows the truck on a link, and the job is passed to the assistance company complete.

Integrations
Off-the-shelf software or custom-built?
When off-the-shelf is enough
For a one-truck business, a phone and a simple logging app are enough to start with.
When custom software pays off
For businesses running several trucks and drivers around the clock and serving assistance companies regularly, a custom dispatch- and job-focused system cuts arrival times and disruptions.

Frequently asked questions
Is the driver’s location tracked all the time?
Location is captured only while on call and on an active job; there is no tracking outside duty.
Can jobs be sent to assistance companies automatically?
Directly to companies that offer an API, and as a ready PDF document set to the others.
Does the app work on roads with poor signal?
Photos and signatures are stored on the device and uploaded when the connection returns.
Can we use our own vehicle tracking devices?
Location can be read from tracking systems that offer data export; otherwise the driver app supplies it.
