An alterations shop takes in dozens of hems, waist adjustments and zip repairs a day on paper tickets. When a ticket goes missing nobody knows whose garment it is, for bespoke work nobody can find the client’s measurements, and clients keep calling to ask whether their job is ready. In the system we build, every garment gets a barcoded alteration ticket recording the job type, price and due date. Client measurement cards are stored, jobs drop into the tailor’s list, and when the work is finished the client automatically receives a “ready for collection” message.

Problems we see in workshops
- Lost paper tickets and mixed-up garments
- Taking client measurements again every time
- Due dates missed when the shop is busy
- Time wasted on “is it ready?” phone calls

How it works day to day
- 1
The client brings the garment and the job and price are selected at the counter.
- 2
A barcoded tag goes on the garment and a ticket is given to the client.
- 3
The job drops into the tailor’s list according to its due date.
- 4
When finished the tailor updates the status and an SMS goes to the client.
- 5
On collection the barcode is scanned, the balance is paid and the job is closed.

Integrations
Off-the-shelf software or custom-built?
When off-the-shelf is enough
For a one-person tailor with a modest workload, a simple order book or ticketing app may be enough.
When custom software pays off
For multi-branch shops, those working alongside dry cleaning or keeping measurement archives for bespoke work, a custom system eliminates lost garments and delays.
How the budget is built
We launch the workflow that saves you the most time first, then add modules based on real usage. The full scope below is calculated with 14 screens and 8 modules; the final price follows a free discovery call and a written scope.
Maintenance and improvements (optional): €350 / month. Hosting, SMS, WhatsApp and app store fees are listed separately.
