In phone repair, if scratches, cracks and missing accessories are not recorded when the device is handed in, there is a dispute at collection. Screens, batteries and charging ports are stocked in different models and grades, and customers call several times a day to ask about their device. In the system we build, the device is checked in with its IMEI, photos and a pre-check list, and the customer receives a repair ticket and a tracking link. The technician enters the fault and the price, the customer approves from an SMS link, the part used is deducted from stock and the warranty period is recorded at collection.

Off-the-shelf software or custom-built?

When off-the-shelf is enough

For a single-bench repairer, ready-made repair tracking programs can be enough.

When custom software pays off

For shops with several branches, corporate contract customers or remote device intake by courier, a system built around your own workflow is more efficient.

How the budget is built
