A motorcycle dealership handles sales, registration paperwork, accessories and servicing under one roof, but usually in separate notebooks. Nobody knows which bike is due a service at what mileage, and the service history of vehicles in courier company fleets is scattered. In the system we build every motorcycle is recorded by VIN and engine number; after the sale, all job cards, replaced parts and mileage build up on the same card. Customers due for a service get an automatic reminder, and fleet customers receive consolidated invoices.

Problems at motorcycle dealerships
- Losing customers for aftersales servicing

How it works day to day
- 1
The motorcycle enters stock by VIN and is linked to the customer on sale.
- 2
A job card is opened for the bike coming in and an approved estimate prepared.
- 3
Parts used come off stock and the technician records the labour.
- 4
On handover the invoice is issued and the next service mileage is set.
- 5
A customer nearing a service gets an SMS or push notification.

Integrations
Off-the-shelf software or custom-built?
When off-the-shelf is enough
For small workshops that only do servicing, off-the-shelf garage software may be enough.
When custom software pays off
For dealers that run sales, registration, accessories and fleet servicing together, a custom system that brings it all onto one card extends customer lifetime and increases service revenue.
