For a farm growing different crops across dozens of parcels, the real question is which field actually makes money. When fertiliser, spray, fuel, labour and machinery costs are scattered across receipts and memory, cost per hectare cannot be worked out, and the information needed for subsidy claims and area declarations is gathered again every year. In the system we build, every parcel is defined on the map with its cadastral reference, and planting, fertilising, spraying, irrigation and harvest operations are entered from the field by phone. Input stock, labour and machine hours are allocated to parcels, and at season end a yield and profitability report by crop and parcel is ready.

Off-the-shelf software or custom-built?

When off-the-shelf is enough

For family farms with a few parcels, free farmer apps and simple expense tracking may be enough.

When custom software pays off

For farms of hundreds of hectares, with many crops or a network of contract growers, a custom system joining parcel-level cost and application records raises profitability and audit confidence.

Frequently asked questions

Can records be entered in the field without internet?

Yes. The mobile app works offline and records are synchronised when a connection returns.

Can we track our contract growers?

Yes. A separate account is opened for each grower, and the company monitors all parcels and applications from one dashboard.

How do we draw parcel boundaries?

You can draw them by hand on the map, or mark the location from the cadastral reference.

Is our data shared with anyone?

No. The data belongs to your business and is stored encrypted and closed to unauthorised access.
